Thank you for your interest in supporting a local family through the Surrey Christmas Bureau’s Adopt-a-Family program. Please complete the application form below, including your contact information and the number and size of families you are able to sponsor. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation, and one of our team members will be in touch. You’ll be notified of your family match by both phone and email as soon as it's made.
To help guide your planning, we suggest a budget of approximately $75–$80 per child for gifts, along with grocery gift cards based on family size. At our Toy Depot, families receive grocery cards in the following amounts—we recommend sponsors follow these same guidelines:
$120 for a family of 2
$140 for a family of 3
$160 for a family of 4
$180 for a family of 5
$200 for a family of 6
$220 for a family of 7 or more
For example, an appropriate budget for a single parent with one child would be around $200 total.
If you’re a business looking to support multiple families, you may want to consider adopting a large family. These families are often harder to match due to the higher cost, but may be a great fit for a team or corporate group. Let us know what works best—we’re happy to help.
